At Mary, Queen of Peace, our Religious Education program is a joyful place where children and families can grow in faith, build friendships, and come to know the love of Jesus. Through engaging lessons, prayer, fellowship, and opportunities to live out our Catholic faith, we strive to nurture each child’s relationship with God and help them grow as faithful disciples.
We are blessed to walk alongside parents and families in this important journey of faith. Whether your child is just beginning to learn about Jesus or continuing to deepen their Catholic faith, there is a place for everyone in our Religious Education family.

The Religious Education Program is in need of a few Catechists (instructors) for the school year. As a catechist, you’ll shape children’s religious education and enrich your own spiritual life. If you love teaching and want to contribute to the faith community, we would love to have you volunteer as a catechist. If you are interested, please contact [email protected] in the parish office.

- Kindergarten – 5th Grade will be dismissed from the ramp outside the Parish Office

Attendance:
The Archdiocese of Indianapolis emphasizes the importance of regular attendance and participation in religious education classes even though it sets no precise number of permissible absences. Regular attendance is required. This is particularly true of the preparation process for the sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation. The focus of our program is on engagement and we strongly encourage regular attendance as required to meet the requirements set for each grade level. We encourage active learning and acknowledge the primary role of parents in the education of their children. Attendance plays a key role in preparing our children for the sacraments and for living a life of active participation in our Catholic community. Parents are the primary source of transportation for their children, so we encourage parents to ensure regular attendance, and to work with us if personal difficulties arise in a given family situation.
