Zelma Madeline Poole, 92, of Danville and Indianapolis passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 9, 2022. Zelma was born on April 10, 1930 in Grassy Meadows, West Virginia, the middle child of seven.
Zelma loved crocheting and making quilts for family and friends. She was a member of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church where she served as bookkeeper and secretary for over a decade before retiring.
Zelma was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Norbert “Mick” Poole, who passed away in January of this year. Zelma is survived by her son Michael and daughter Anita.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday August 16, 2022 at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church Danville IN. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Conkle Funeral Home, Avon Chapel. Burial will be in St. Malachy West Cemetery.
