Please pray for the repose of soul of Joan Miller (Stan) who died this week and for the care and consolation of her family.
Eternal rest grant to her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen
Note: There will not be a 5:30 pm Mass on Thursday, October 20th due to the Funeral Mass.

Obituary
Joan C. Miller, 91 of Danville, Indiana, peacefully passed away on October 16, 2022, in her home surrounded by her loving family. Joan was born on October 10, 1931, in Fort Wayne to Harry Herman Lupke and Rosina Cresence Gutman. She graduated from Central Catholic in Fort Wayne in 1949. On May 11, 1957, Joan married the love of her life, Stanley L. Miller, in Indianapolis. She was a loving homemaker and mother. She also managed Woolworth’s Food Service in Columbus, Ohio,and Fort Wayne, was a clerk and telephone operator at Meridian Mutual Insurance in Indianapolis, and managed 3D’s fabric department in Greenfield. She was a parish member at St. Michael’s in Greenfield from 1957 to 1982, and then was a parish member at St. Susana in Plainfield and Mary Queen of Peace in Danville.
In addition to her parents, Joan is preceded in death by her brother, James Lupke.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Stanley Miller; her sons, Michael (Andrea Klosterman) Miller of Eau Claire, Wisconsin and Mark (Teresa Taylor) Miller of Avon, Indiana; her daughters, Michelle Falwell of Kansas City, Missouri and Marie (Daniel) Ford of St. Paul, Missouri; her eight grandchildren; her 12 great-grandchildren; her brother, Thomas (Janet) Lupke of Jerico, Michigan; and her sister, Rosalyn (Robert) Beierman of Magnolia, Texas.
Friends and family will gather for a visitation on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, from 4 pm to 7 pm at Eric M.D. Bell Funeral Home in Pittsboro, Indiana. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following day, October 20, 2022, 10:00 am, at Mary Queen of Peace in Danville, Indiana. Following Mass, Joan will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The National Kidney Foundation or The American Heart Association.
