2017 College Scholarships
Scope
• Two – $1,000 scholarships (one for Mary, Queen of Peace and one for St. Susanna)
Instructions/Timeline
• The scholarship announcement and applications will be available to both parishes in January (announcements will be made at both parishes).
• Eligible Candidates must fill out the attached application and return it to the noted address by April 8, 2017.
• All candidate applications will be reviewed and evaluated by a core group from both parishes of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 11896.
• A short-list of three candidates from each parish will be selected for interviews.
• Winning candidates will be announced in May 2017 at both parishes.
• The scholarships will be paid directly to the college of choice for the winning candidates.
• Applications will be available at the two churches and online at the KOC website. (http://www.kofc11896.org/)
Requirements/Eligibility
1. Must be a graduating senior from an accredited high school or home school program.
2. Must be a parishioner in good standing of Mary, Queen of Peace or St Susanna.
3. Must be planning on attending an accredited college or trade school in the fall of 2017.
4. Must make a commitment to be active in your faith while attending college.
5. Must turn in a completed application and attend a short interview.
Applicants Must Provide
1. Complete scholarship application and high school transcript by April 8, 2017 to:

2. An interview for short-listed candidates will be held on Sunday, May 7th, 2017 at the Mary, Queen of Peace hall (in the basement).
